I’d been eyeing SvelteKit for a while, and a couple of Saturdays ago I finally carved out a free morning to dive in.
Instead of building a “hello world” demo, I wanted to create something useful. My friend Max and I often complain about workout apps—they’re bloated with features we don’t care about. We don’t need calorie counters, tutorial videos, or endless exercise catalogs that always miss the ones we actually do.
What we really need is simple:
- Track exercises
- Log sets, reps, and weights
- Nothing more, nothing less
I also used the chance to experiment with Vercel and Supabase. Together with SvelteKit, they formed the tech stack for Trackz.
A minimalist workout tracker that does exactly what you need without the fluff. 🤗
If you’ve been looking for a no-nonsense workout tracker, give it a try and tell me what you think:
